VIETNAM - Project Management Unit of Central coastal urban development -building green growth and resilience to climate change in Dong Ha city, Quang Tri province 作動する ベトナム.
To ensure effective implementation, a project preparatory study (PPS) was conducted in 2022, confirming the scope of the proposed works, alignment with AFD's climate change requirements, and estimated investment costs. The PPS aims to assist Đông Hà in formulating and preparing a sustainable and integrated infrastructure investment project to the feasibility/preliminary engineering design stage. It aligns with the vision and objectives of the Government of Vietnam and will facilitate the downstream preparation of a more detailed Vietnamese Government feasibility study (FS) in accordance with Vietnamese norms.
More recently, Central coastal urban development project – building green growth and resilience to climate change in Dong Ha city was approved by the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee in the Feasibility Study Report under Decision No. 2469/QD-UBND dated October 27, 2023. Additionally, the Credit Facility Agreement No. CVN 1217 01 F and Financing Agreement No. CVN 1236 05 L between the Government of Viet Nam and Agence Francaise De Developpement was signed on December 29, 2023, followed by the relending agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Quang Tri Province on March 15, 2024. This marked the beginning of the project's implementation phase.
